All sales are final, and therefore a refund will not be in order. There will be a 25% restoration fee if an order is cancelled, even if it has not shipped. Consequently, the total credit amount will be the grand total paid, minus the 25% fee. The restoration fee is to help satisfy Scoota Trailer's cost of documentation, which is prepared and processed, at the time an order is paid for. Brief descriptions of some of these preparations are as follows:
1) A Federal Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is issued.
2) A 'Certificate of Origin' for the VIN is created (per Federal law).
3) An invoice 'bill of sale' is produced, including names, addresses, and also contains the seventeen digit VIN that was issued. The information on the invoice matches the information that appears on the certificate, and other documents.
4) We also initiate an SOC (statement of compliance), a warranty sheet, an order confirmation page, a maintenance & use guideline, and, of course, several pages containing assembly instructions. A shipping 'bill of lading' is also pre-generated.
In conclusion, re-establishing identity and ownership of a vehicle involves nullifying all documentation, as well as creating new invoices and documentation for the cancelled unit(s).

Q. How much does the ScootaTrailer weigh?
A. It weighs a total of 285 lbs., and only places 35 - 75 lbs. directly onto your tow vehicle's trailer hitch. If you choose to add the optional aluminum top, which only weighs 50 lbs., your total trailer weight will only increase to 335 lbs., making it one of the lightest enclosed transporters of mobility scooters and power chairs in the industry. Yet, one of the most impressive features is its 600 lb. carrying capacity! (And, at this time we are not aware of any power chair or scooter that weighs that much!)
Q. Can this trailer be towed behind small vehicles?
A. YES! If there is a trailer hitch available for whatever vehicle you wish to tow with, whether it's a sub-compact, full size, or SUV, it is capable of towing the trailer. (Remember! The trailer weighs 285 lbs., and only places 35 - 75 lbs. directly onto your tow vehicle's trailer hitch.) The total weight, including your chair or scooter, would never exceed 900 lbs. total weight. Therefore, ANY class one trailer hitch on ANY vehicle is enough hitch!
Q. Can it be towed at normal highway speeds?
A. YES! The ScootaTrailer is equipped with high-speed bearings and E-Z lube greaseable spindles. Also, the tire rating is a considerably higher capacity than is required. And, best of all, the trailer's unique design will never allow itself to sway behind any vehicle at any speed, at any time.
Q. Will the trailer bounce around while being towed?
A. Bounce is very minimal. Actually, the axle supporting your scooter is a soft, rubber ride suspension axle called a 'torflex', and will adjust to road conditions.
Q. How much effort does it take to lift the loading gate?
A. Very little! In fact, with the tailgate in the lowered position, it will require lifting only nine pounds (which is less than most vans equipped with spring-assisted side loading ramps).
Q. How do I load my power chair or scooter?
A. The ScootaTrailer is designed with a very low profile—only nine inches gravity. Therefore, the angle of approach is very slim. Simply guide your unit while it powers itself into the travel position as you walk beside it. You may back it on or go forward. The choice is yours. It will not affect the towing of your unit. Using the tie-down rings and straps provided, secure your unit so that it remains stationary during transport.
Q. How do I know if my mobility device will fit?
A. As long as the mobility device fits within the dimensions of the trailer listed in the specifications and is less than the total weight, there should be no issues.
Q. Can I still park in handicap parking areas?
A. Most people use handicap parking to avoid walking far. Since you’ll be using your scooter to ride from the parking area, handicap parking becomes less necessary.
This trailer product is warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for **one (1) year** from the original date of purchase or acceptance from Tesh & Sons, Inc., or their authorized merchants. Within this period, Tesh & Sons, at their discretion, will repair or replace the product without charge for parts and/or labor. To activate the warranty, complete the bottom portion of this warranty sheet, detach it, and mail it to Tesh & Sons, Inc., along with a copy of the bill of sale or proof of purchase, within **30 days of purchase or acceptance**.
Warranty Exclusions:**
This warranty does not cover:
- Transportation costs for warranty work.
- Any repairs conducted by parties other than Tesh & Sons, Inc., without their expressed consent.
- Damages or failures caused by or attributable to:
- Acts of God

- Normal wear and tear
- Additions, deletions, or modifications not installed by our factory
- Improper or neglected maintenance

This includes, but is not limited to, any economic loss, loss of property, personal injury, loss of revenues or profits, or costs related to removal, installation, reinstallation, or storage fees. At their option, Tesh & Sons, Inc. will be responsible only for the repair of the unit.

After Warranty Expiration:

Returns
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for most products. All approved refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee, and all shipping and any white-glove delivery costs are non-refundable.
After 7 days, and up to 14 days from delivery, eligible orders may be exchanged only, subject to the same condition requirements.
Certain products, including pre-orders, backorders, custom items, and select brands, are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. After 14 days from delivery, all sales are final.
Condition of Returns
Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and include all accessories, components, and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.
Pre-orders and backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase to secure inventory that is specifically allocated to your order.
Once placed, we immediately commit funds with our suppliers and reserve inventory. For this reason, pre-orders and backorders cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable once confirmed.
Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight and logistics issues.
If an exception is approved at our sole discretion, a cancellation and restocking fee will apply and will be deducted from any approved refund.

Defective or Damaged Items
If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.
If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.
Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.
Missed Deliveries & Refused Shipments
Large or freight items are delivered to the address provided at checkout and are typically not returned to sender. Tracking details will be provided.
