Getting in and out of bed, especially at night or without assistance, can be one of the biggest challenges in home care and nursing environments. Standard beds often sit too high, making transfers awkward and increasing the risk of slips or missteps.
The CostCare B420 Ultra Low Bed is designed for these situations. It lowers to just 3.9 inches from the floor for times when a lower sleeping position is needed, while still raising to a practical height for caregivers during daily routines. It’s built for tight spaces, regular repositioning, and consistent use, whether at home or in a care setting.
The CostCare B420 is built for environments where space, safety, and ease of use all matter. It gives you a lower resting position when needed, while still supporting caregivers during daily routines.
If you’re setting up a room for long-term care or looking for a bed that works in smaller spaces, this model offers a straightforward, functional solution.

How low does the bed go?
The bed lowers electronically to 3.9" from the floor and raises up to 22". This low position is useful when a resident benefits from being closer to the floor while unattended.
Can the bed be moved through narrow doorways or small elevators?
The bed can be dismantled into sections and mounted on transport bars for movement and storage. The wheels are for positioning the bed only and should not be used to transport a patient in the bed.
Does this bed include rails?
Rails or assist bars may be available as optional accessories depending on the selected configuration. Bed rails can also be added to the foot section when the setup calls for additional coverage.
What size mattress does this bed use?
The sleeping surface is 36" x 80". Use a compatible long-term care mattress that fits the bed properly and works with the mattress retaining system.
What is the weight capacity?
The B420 has a 450 lb safe working load and a 400 lb maximum patient weight. Do not exceed the stated weight limits.
Does the bed have Trendelenburg positioning?
Yes. The B420 offers Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positioning up to ±12°.
