The Protekt® Aire 5000DX by Proactive Medical is a low air loss and alternating pressure mattress system designed for comfort and skin protection. Its digital pump features Auto Compressor Sleep Technology (ACST), which extends pump life by shutting off the compressor once the desired pressure is reached. The pump offers adjustable weight settings, a preset 10-minute alternating cycle, and a static function for safe patient transfers.
The mattress includes a 5-inch air layer with a 3-inch densified fiber base for added support during power failures. With a weight capacity of 400 lbs and dimensions of 80”L x 36”W x 8”H, it is suitable for various patient needs. Optional raised side rails provide extra safety, making it a reliable choice for effective pressure therapy and patient care.
The Protekt® Aire 5000DX helps patients by providing advanced pressure redistribution and moisture management, which are essential for preventing and managing pressure injuries. The low air loss feature keeps the patient’s skin cool and dry, reducing the risk of skin breakdown, while the alternating pressure therapy relieves pressure on vulnerable areas of the body. The static function ensures stability during transfers, making it safer and more comfortable for patients to get in and out of bed.
