Amigo RT Express 3-Wheel Mobility Scooter for Indoor Use and Tight Spaces

Not every mobility scooter is sized for smaller indoor spaces. Some models take up more room or need more space to turn.

The Amigo RT Express is built for riders who want a scooter that takes up less room indoors. With a 23.5-inch overall width and a 33-inch turning radius, it is designed for tighter areas. It also includes a rear-drive design, one-piece steel platform, 360° swivel seat, an adjustable handle, and a control panel with a display and adjustable speed settings.

Charging Made Easier

The Amigo RT Express comes with a 24V onboard charger and a retractable cord. Because the charger is built into the scooter, there is no separate charger to store. Pull out the cord, plug it into a standard wall outlet, and charge when needed. After charging, gently tug the cord so it retracts back into place.

 

Amigo RT Express Model Options

The Amigo RT Express is available in different models with different controls and built-in features.

Standard Model: Includes the basic control features, such as a Hi/Lo handle, speed control, battery indicator, key switch, and horn.

Deluxe Model: Includes the TouchTron control panel and added features such as a seat lift, lights, turn signals, brake release, and rear taillight.

Shabbat Model: Includes a switch that changes the scooter from normal mode to Shabbat mode.

The Amigo RT Express comes standard with the Premier I seat. Other available options include the Premier II and the Tempress high-back seat. These seat options make it easier to choose the setup you want.

Power Seat Lift for Better Reach, Right When You Need It

Available on the Deluxe model, the optional power seat lift raises the seat up to 4.75 inches at the push of a button.

That extra height makes everyday tasks easier, whether you’re sitting at a table, pulling up to a desk, or reaching a kitchen counter. You can get closer to where you need to be without leaning or adjusting your position.

It’s a simple upgrade that gives you more flexibility throughout the day and helps the scooter fit more naturally into your routine.

Warranty Information

Structural components including the platform, frame, and lower seat post carry a limited lifetime warranty of seven years. Main components such as the controller, charger, motor, power seat lift, and transaxle have a two-year warranty. Seats and other components have a one-year warranty, and batteries supplied by Amigo are warranted for one year. Labor at the factory headquarters in Bridgeport, Michigan is covered for the first 60 days of ownership.

General Warranty Provisions

Amigo Mobility International, Inc. (AMI) warranties the original, completed Amigo it manufactures only to the original owner. If a warranty card or proof of purchase is not received, the warranty begins on the date the Amigo was shipped.

Warranty Exclusions: The warranties do not cover failure of any part or accessory due to:

Shipping damage
Abuse, misuse, accidental damage, or acts of nature
Exceeding the specified weight capacity of the model
Improper installation or opening sealed components
Modifying the Amigo or installing accessories not authorized by AMI
Warranty Coverage:

General Repair/Replacement: AMI will repair or replace parts that are defective in material or workmanship under normal use. For some warranty repairs, AMI may use factory-remanufactured parts instead of new parts. Warranty replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the Amigo unit's warranty. Labor costs are covered for the first 60 days of ownership.

Structural Components: Platform, frame, and seat post have a limited lifetime warranty (seven years).

Main Components: Controller, charger, motor, and transaxle have a two-year warranty.

Seats and Other Components: Covered for one year (cuts and tears in seats are not covered).

Batteries: Batteries supplied by AMI have a one-year warranty (freight not included after six months). Batteries carry Amigo brand labels.

Exclusions: Damage caused by moisture, spillage, or leakage is not covered.

Lithium-Ion Batteries:

Warranty period is 60 months, starting from when the Amigo healthcare model or batteries are shipped from the AMI factory. The serial number of the unit or date code on the battery is required.
Warranty covers defects in workmanship and material.
Warranty applies if a fully recharged battery has less than 50% of its rated capacity under normal operating/charging conditions within the 60-month period.
Lithium-ion batteries must be returned to AMI for testing to confirm warranty conditions are met.
Repair/Replacement Process: AMI will repair or replace products/parts found to be defective under warranty at their factory in Bridgeport, Michigan.

If inspection shows the returned part or unit is fully functional or inoperable for a non-warranty reason, it will be returned at the owner's expense.
Parts Purchased Separately/Rebuilt Units: These carry a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

Order Processing

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order.

Orders are fulfilled directly through our authorized manufacturer partners to ensure you receive the newest production inventory.

If an item is temporarily unavailable, we will contact you promptly with updated availability and options. At that time, you may choose to proceed with the revised timeline or cancel for a full refund.

If you confirm that you wish to proceed, the order becomes a confirmed backorder. Once we commit funds with the supplier to reserve inventory specifically for your order, it cannot be cancelled.

You will receive email updates throughout the process, including tracking details once your order ships.

Cancellations within 24 hours may be approved at our discretion if the order has not yet been placed with the supplier or shipped.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for eligible products.

Approved returns are subject to:

  • A 25% restocking fee

  • Non-refundable outbound shipping

  • Non-refundable white-glove delivery charges (if applicable)

After 14 days, all sales are considered final.

Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and include all components and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Pre-Orders & Backorders

Some products may require advance reservation to secure manufacturer inventory.

Pre-orders and confirmed backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase. Once inventory is reserved and funds are committed with the supplier, these orders cannot be cancelled.

Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight logistics.

Any exception granted is at our sole discretion and may be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee.

Final Sale Items

Due to hygiene, safety, or manufacturer restrictions, the following items are non-returnable:

  • Beds and mattresses

  • Batteries and chargers

  • All lifts (residential, vehicle, and patient lifts)

  • Lift chairs, geri chairs, and patient room chairs

  • Wheelchair cushions, support surfaces, and slings

Defective or Damaged Items

If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.

If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.

Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.

Missed Deliveries, Refused Shipments & Incorrect Addresses

Freight and large-item deliveries are scheduled to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure all delivery details are accurate before submitting your order.

If an order is refused at delivery or returned to the sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and all outbound and return shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility.

If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided and the shipment requires re-delivery, address correction, or is returned to the sender, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping, freight, storage, or re-delivery fees charged by the carrier.

Warranty

All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand and product.

We are happy to assist you with documentation, proof of purchase, and guidance throughout the warranty process. Warranty service, repairs, and replacements are handled directly by the manufacturer in accordance with their terms and coverage.

After the return period has passed, any repair or replacement requests will be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty policy and may require return of the defective item for inspection.

Payment Disputes

If you experience any issue with your order, please contact us directly so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

In the event of a payment dispute, we may provide order records, communication history, and this policy to the payment provider for review.
