Drive Delta Pro Homecare Bed System: Flexible Bed Support for Everyday Care

The Drive Delta Pro Homecare Bed System is designed to make everyday positioning, rest, and caregiving easier at home or in a professional care setting. Depending on the selected configuration, the bed can provide manual, semi-electric, or full-electric adjustment of the head, foot, and bed height to help the user find a more comfortable position for sleeping, resting, sitting up, or receiving care.

For users who need frequent position changes, powered head and foot adjustment can reduce the effort required to sit more upright or raise the legs. Full-electric models also allow the entire bed to move higher or lower, helping caregivers bring the sleep surface to a more comfortable working height and lower it again when care is complete.

The Delta Pro is built around a universal frame platform that supports six different bed configurations. This means the same bed system is designed to work with manual, semi-electric, full-electric, standard-height, and low-bed setups when paired with the correct Drive components.

This homecare bed supports a safe working load of 450 lbs and includes a strong steel slat deck, molded bed ends, simple assembly, and compatibility with optional rails and an extension kit.

How the Drive Delta Pro Makes Everyday Care Easier

The Delta Pro is not just about having different bed configurations. Its real benefit is giving the user and caregiver more control over how the bed is positioned throughout the day.

Comfort, Positioning, and Easier Care

  • Adjust the head and upper body: Semi-electric and full-electric models allow powered head positioning to help the user sit more upright for resting, reading, watching TV, meals, or everyday care.
  • Raise the legs: Powered foot-section adjustment helps the user change leg position without manually repositioning the bed.
  • Easier caregiver access: Full-electric models provide powered Hi/Lo adjustment so the bed can be raised to a more comfortable working height for caregiving tasks.
  • Lower sleeping position: Low-bed configurations can position the sleep surface closer to the floor than standard-height versions.
  • Choose the level of assistance needed: Delta Pro packages range from fully manual operation to powered head, foot, and height adjustment.
  • 450 lb safe working load: Capacity includes the user, mattress, accessories, and other equipment placed on the bed.
  • Supportive steel sleep deck: Square-tube steel slats provide a strong, no-sag surface for a compatible mattress.
  • Easy-care bed ends: High-density polyethylene molded bed ends are designed to be easy to clean and clearly labeled for assembly.
  • Optional bed rails: Compatible full and half rails are available separately for users who require an appropriate rail setup.
  • Optional longer sleep surface: The 15561EXT extension kit increases the standard 80-inch bed length to 84 inches.

Manual, Semi-Electric, or Full-Electric: Which Delta Pro Is Right for You?

The best Delta Pro configuration depends on how much powered adjustment the user and caregiver want. The six available packages use the same universal platform but provide different levels of positioning assistance.

A manual Delta Pro uses hand-operated controls for bed adjustment. A semi-electric Delta Pro powers the head and foot sections while bed height is adjusted manually. A full-electric Delta Pro powers the head, foot, and overall bed height from the hand control.

Low full-electric configurations add powered positioning together with low bed ends for users who need the bed closer to the floor.

Kit Configuration Head & Foot Bed Height
15003PN Standard manual bed Manual Manual
15030N Standard semi-electric bed Powered Manual
15004PN Standard semi-electric bed Powered Manual
15033NC Standard full-electric bed Powered Powered
15235N Low full-electric bed Powered Powered
15005LPN Low full-electric bed Powered Powered

Important: One Delta Pro package does not include all six configurations. Each package includes the components needed for its designated setup. Confirm the exact kit number and included components before ordering.

Electric Bed Controls and Emergency Backup

The available hand pendant depends on the selected Delta Pro configuration. Semi-electric models provide powered adjustment of the head and foot sections, while bed height is changed manually.

Full-electric configurations allow the user or caregiver to adjust the head, foot, and bed height electrically. This makes frequent position changes easier and reduces the amount of manual bed adjustment required during everyday care.

Eligible dual-motor configurations can accept a 9V battery in the hand pendant. During a power failure, the backup can slowly return the head and foot sections to a horizontal position. The battery is not included and is intended for emergency use only.

Mattress, Rail, and Low-Bed Safety

A mattress may not be included with the selected package. Drive recommends a compatible 36-inch-wide mattress made for an 80-inch bed frame, or an 84-inch mattress when the extension kit is installed. Mattress height must be at least 5.5 inches.

Only compatible Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare rails should be used. Full rails 15561FRAIL and half rails 15561HRAIL are sold separately. Rails must be installed according to their instructions and must not be used as transfer aids, restraints, or handles for moving the bed.

When the bed is not being used for care, Drive recommends leaving it in its lowest position. Keep feet, limbs, cords, bedding, and personal items clear of the frame before operating a low or Hi/Lo adjustable bed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Drive Delta Pro Homecare Bed do?

The Delta Pro provides an adjustable sleep and care surface for users who need more positioning support than a standard bed. Depending on the selected model, it can adjust the head, foot, and bed height manually or electrically.

How can the Delta Pro make caregiving easier?

Full-electric versions can raise or lower the entire bed, allowing caregivers to change the working height without manually repositioning the bed. Powered head and foot adjustment also makes routine position changes easier.

What is the difference between a semi-electric and full-electric Delta Pro?

Semi-electric configurations provide powered head and foot adjustment with manual bed-height adjustment. Full-electric configurations power the head, foot, and overall bed height.

Which Delta Pro models are low beds?

Models 15235N and 15005LPN are low full-electric configurations. They combine powered positioning and Hi/Lo adjustment with Delta Pro low bed ends.

Does one Delta Pro package include all six configurations?

No. The universal Delta Pro frame platform supports six bed designs, but each purchased package is supplied for a specific configuration. The correct bed ends, motor system, actuator hardware, pendant, and related components depend on the selected kit.

What is the bed's weight capacity?

The Delta Pro has a 450 lb safe working load. This total includes the user, mattress, rails, accessories, and optional equipment placed on the bed.

Are the mattress and rails included?

A mattress and side rails may not be included. Package contents vary, and compatible full or half rails are sold separately. Review the selected package before purchasing.

Can the bed be extended to 84 inches?

Yes. Optional extension kit 15561EXT adds four inches to the standard 80-inch sleep surface.
