Hoyer U Sling – Safe and Comfortable Lifting for Home or Clinical Use

The Hoyer U Sling by Joerns Healthcare is designed for easy, comfortable patient transfers using passive lifts with a spreader bar. Compatible with models like the HML400 and HPL402 Hoyer Patient Lift, this sling supports up to 600 lbs and is ideal for patients needing full or partial support during seated or reclined transfers. Compatible with 4 point cradle.

Available in padded for extra comfort or mesh for quick drying and bathing applications, the U Sling also comes in options with or without head support, depending on the patient’s needs. The open-bottom “U” shape allows for easier application and removal, making it especially useful for toileting or when minimal repositioning is required.

Color-coded loops make size identification and proper positioning simple for caregivers. This sling is a versatile and supportive solution for safe, efficient patient handling.

Warranty Information

Joerns Healthcare warrants Hoyer slings and slide sheets to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period provided above, starting from the date of purchase by the original consumer or owner. If a product proves to be defective within this period, Joerns Healthcare will replace it.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by unsuitable environmental conditions, failure to maintain the product according to user and service instructions, or any alteration, modification, or unauthorized repair. Normal wear and tear, consumer neglect, and willful destruction are also excluded.

Joerns Healthcare’s obligation under this warranty is limited to supplying replacement parts found to be defective, and warranty replacement parts are only covered until the product’s original warranty period expires. When requested, defective parts must be returned for inspection at the customer’s expense, with credit issued only after inspection by Joerns Healthcare.

This warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser of the slings and slide sheets.

Order Processing 

Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email confirming that we have received and begun processing your order.

Stock availability is confirmed after purchase:

  • In stock: Your order will be prepared and shipped.

  • Out of stock/backorder: We will contact you with available options, which may include an estimated restock date, an alternative product, or a refund if you choose not to proceed.

You will receive email updates throughout the process, including tracking details once your order ships.

Cancellations within 24 hours may be approved at our discretion only if the order has not been placed/paid with the supplier or shipped.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for most products. All approved refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee, and all shipping and any white-glove delivery costs are non-refundable.

After 7 days, and up to 14 days from delivery, eligible orders may be exchanged only, subject to the same condition requirements.

Certain products, including pre-orders, backorders, custom items, and select brands, are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. After 14 days from delivery, all sales are final.

Condition of Returns

Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and include all accessories, components, and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.

Pre-Orders & Backorders

Pre-orders and backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase to secure inventory that is specifically allocated to your order.

Once placed, we immediately commit funds with our suppliers and reserve inventory. For this reason, pre-orders and backorders cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable once confirmed.

Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight and logistics issues.

If an exception is approved at our sole discretion, a cancellation and restocking fee will apply and will be deducted from any approved refund.

Final Sale Items

The following categories are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Beds and mattresses

  • Batteries and chargers

  • All lifts (residential, vehicle, and patient lifts)

  • Lift chairs, geri chairs, and patient room chairs

  • Wheelchair cushions, support surfaces, and slings

  • Red light therapy devices

Defective or Damaged Items

If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.

If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.

Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.

Missed Deliveries & Refused Shipments

Large or freight items are delivered to the address provided at checkout and are typically not returned to sender. Tracking details will be provided.

If an order is refused at delivery or returned to the sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and you are responsible for all outbound and return shipping costs.

Warranty

All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand.
We can provide proof of purchase and assist with documentation; however, warranty claims are handled directly by the manufacturer.

After the return period, repair or replacement decisions are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms and may require return of the defective item.
