The Karman XO-55 is a manual standing wheelchair built with a lightweight aluminum frame and a gas-spring assisted standing system. It allows manual adjustment between seated and standing positions using a mechanical handle and stabilizing straps.
The design uses no electrical power and keeps overall weight low for easier handling and transport.

The frame is made from 6061 T-6 aluminum, keeping overall weight low while maintaining a solid structure. Reinforced struts and a rear bar support the frame during operation. The backrest folds, and the rear wheels detach with a quick-release mechanism for compact storage or transport. The frame has a white powder-coated finish with transparent composite side panels for a simple, clean appearance.

The seat and back use breathable nylon upholstery. Armrests are padded, flip back for transfers, and can be removed if required. Seat depth and backrest angle are adjustable, and flip-up footplates allow clear access when entering or exiting the chair. Standard seat height is 21 inches.
The XO-55 has 24-inch rear pneumatic wheels with quick-release axles and 6-inch front casters with flat-free poly-foam tires. This combination supports smooth rolling on indoor or outdoor surfaces. Scissor-style wheel locks hold the chair securely when parked.
The standing system uses gas-spring assistance and a standing handle for controlled transitions between seated and standing positions. Chest, pelvic, and knee straps are included to help maintain alignment during motion. The mechanism is fully mechanical, no battery or motor is required.

If you confirm that you wish to proceed, the order becomes a confirmed backorder. Once we commit funds with the supplier to reserve inventory specifically for your order, it cannot be cancelled.

Cancellations within 24 hours may be approved at our discretion if the order has not yet been placed with the supplier or shipped.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for eligible products.
Approved returns are subject to:

After 14 days, all sales are considered final.
Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and include all components and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Pre-orders and confirmed backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase. Once inventory is reserved and funds are committed with the supplier, these orders cannot be cancelled.
Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight logistics.
Any exception granted is at our sole discretion and may be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee.

If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.
If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.
Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.
Freight and large-item deliveries are scheduled to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure all delivery details are accurate before submitting your order.
If an order is refused at delivery or returned to the sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and all outbound and return shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility.
If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided and the shipment requires re-delivery, address correction, or is returned to the sender, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping, freight, storage, or re-delivery fees charged by the carrier.
All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand and product.

After the return period has passed, any repair or replacement requests will be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty policy and may require return of the defective item for inspection.
