MERITS HEALTH PRODUCTS, INC. WARRANTY POLICY

Merits Health Products, Inc. will repair or replace the following item(s) that have a manufactured defect. Credit will be given following inspection by an authorized representative of Merits Health Products, Inc. into the material or workmanship.

Part(s) purchased outside of warranty have 30 days to report manufactured defect.

5-Year Warranty from the original date of consumer purchase:
- Frame

18-Month Warranty from the original date of consumer purchase:
- Seat Post
- Caster Forks
- Power Seat Actuator
- Metal Seating Frame
- Caster Beam
- Anti Tipper Forks
- Armrest Bracket (metal part only)
- 31ah or above batteries

13-Month Warranty from the original date of consumer purchase:
- Joystick
- Gearbox
- Electrical Harness
- Charger
- Transaxle
- Motor Brake Assembly

6-Month Warranty from the original date of consumer purchase:
- Bearings
- Swivel Seat Mechanism
- Front Riggins
- Batteries less than 31 ah supplied by Merits Health Products, Inc.
- Bushings

Warranty Exclusions:
The following item(s) are excluded from warranty:
- Acts of nature, lost, or stolen
- Commercial use
- Neglect, improper operation, and/or maintenance or repair
- Units altered or serviced by an agency not authorized by Merits Health Products, Inc.
- Serial numbered products if the serial number has been removed or defaced

Warranty Service:
Merits Health Products, Inc. retains the right to replace warranted part(s) with either refurbished or new part(s) at their discretion. Any costs related to labor, service calls, transportation, freight, or other charges associated with the installation of warranted part(s) are the responsibility of the consumer/dealer.

This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.

Order Processing 

Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email confirming that we have received and begun processing your order.

Stock availability is confirmed after purchase:

  • In stock: Your order will be prepared and shipped.

  • Out of stock/backorder: We will contact you with available options, which may include an estimated restock date, an alternative product, or a refund if you choose not to proceed.

You will receive email updates throughout the process, including tracking details once your order ships.

Cancellations within 24 hours may be approved at our discretion only if the order has not been placed/paid with the supplier or shipped.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for most products. All approved refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee, and all shipping and any white-glove delivery costs are non-refundable.

After 7 days, and up to 14 days from delivery, eligible orders may be exchanged only, subject to the same condition requirements.

Certain products, including pre-orders, backorders, custom items, and select brands, are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. After 14 days from delivery, all sales are final.

Condition of Returns

Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and include all accessories, components, and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.

Pre-Orders & Backorders

Pre-orders and backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase to secure inventory that is specifically allocated to your order.

Once placed, we immediately commit funds with our suppliers and reserve inventory. For this reason, pre-orders and backorders cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable once confirmed.

Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight and logistics issues.

If an exception is approved at our sole discretion, a cancellation and restocking fee will apply and will be deducted from any approved refund.

Final Sale Items

The following categories are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Beds and mattresses

  • Batteries and chargers

  • All lifts (residential, vehicle, and patient lifts)

  • Lift chairs, geri chairs, and patient room chairs

  • Wheelchair cushions, support surfaces, and slings

Defective or Damaged Items

If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.

If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.

Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.

Missed Deliveries & Refused Shipments

Large or freight items are delivered to the address provided at checkout and are typically not returned to sender. Tracking details will be provided.

If an order is refused at delivery or returned to the sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and you are responsible for all outbound and return shipping costs.

Warranty

All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand.
We can provide proof of purchase and assist with documentation; however, warranty claims are handled directly by the manufacturer.

After the return period, repair or replacement decisions are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms and may require return of the defective item.
