1) What is a wheelchair elevator lift and which P-Lift height do I need?
A wheelchair elevator lift (also called a wheelchair platform lift for home) is a vertical lift that raises a wheelchair user between two levels. Choose:
- P-Lift 50 for up to 50 inches of vertical travel.
- P-Lift 60 for up to 60 inches.
- P-Lift 72 for up to 72 inches.
Match the model to the height from the lower landing to the upper landing.
2) Will this wheelchair platform lift for home fit my space?
Yes, most porches and decks work with minimal prep. You’ll need a solid, level pad that’s about 12 inches larger than the lift footprint (common adjacent configurations are roughly 60 x 66 inches or 66 x 66 inches). Make sure the toe plate lands on a firm surface with 12–20 inches of clear space at the entrance side. If you have a porch threshold or lip, the toe plate acts as a small ramp and the platform height can be set to meet the landing cleanly.
3) What mounting surface do I need for a wheelchair elevator lift?
A solid, smooth, level base is required, typically concrete or solid wood decking. For travel over 52 inches, the lift should also be secured to the building for added stability.
4) Is the P-Lift suitable for indoor and outdoor use?
Yes. The P-Lift is designed for both indoor and outdoor installations and is commonly used at porch and deck entrances, garages, and split-level interiors.
5) How is it powered, and what happens if there’s a power cut?
The P-Lift runs on a standard 120-volt AC household circuit (15A). During an outage you have two options:
- Manual Crank – included for safe raising and lowering without power.
- Optional Battery Backup System – an external box that automatically switches to 48-volt DC, powered by four 12V U1 batteries (not included). On a full charge it can provide up to 50 complete lift cycles (about ten days at five cycles per day). The kit includes a durable exterior battery box, a built-in inverter for automatic AC/DC switching, and all connection components except the batteries.
6) How safe is this wheelchair elevator lift?
The P-Lift includes a toe plate (safety ramp and edge guard), handrails, a non-slip platform, and multiple limit switches to stop over-travel. An emergency stop is also easy to reach. For taller lifts, landing gates and interlocks can be added for controlled access.
7) Can I operate the lift independently?
Yes. The P-Lift uses simple, reachable call and send controls so a wheelchair user can ride independently. Optional upper and lower call stations let you call the lift from either level.
8) How much weight can it carry?
The series is designed for high capacity use, safely handling a user plus a power wheelchair or scooter. Typical configurations support up to 750–880 pounds. If you’re close to the limit, let us know your chair and user weights and we’ll confirm the best setup.
9) How much does the wheelchair elevator lift weigh?
The P-Lift ships at about 705 pounds including the crate. Once unboxed and installed, the lift itself weighs less, but you should plan for the full shipping weight when arranging delivery and setup.
10) How long does it take to ship?
Orders ship within 1–3 business days via FedEx Freight. Transit times vary, but most deliveries arrive within 5–9 business days, depending on your location.

If you confirm that you wish to proceed, the order becomes a confirmed backorder. Once we commit funds with the supplier to reserve inventory specifically for your order, it cannot be cancelled.

Cancellations within 24 hours may be approved at our discretion if the order has not yet been placed with the supplier or shipped.
Returns
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for eligible products.

After 14 days, all sales are considered final.
Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and include all components and documentation. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Pre-orders and confirmed backorders are paid in full at the time of purchase. Once inventory is reserved and funds are committed with the supplier, these orders cannot be cancelled.
Estimated shipping timelines are provided in good faith. Delays may occur due to manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, or freight logistics.
Any exception granted is at our sole discretion and may be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee.

Defective or Damaged Items
If an item arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost. Issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
A replacement requires the defective item to be returned before a new unit is shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided for approved claims.
If you decline a replacement and request a return instead, the request will be handled under the standard return policy, including a 25% restocking fee and non-refundable shipping costs.
Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.
Missed Deliveries, Refused Shipments & Incorrect Addresses
Freight and large-item deliveries are scheduled to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure all delivery details are accurate before submitting your order.
If an order is refused at delivery or returned to the sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and all outbound and return shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility.
If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided and the shipment requires re-delivery, address correction, or is returned to the sender, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping, freight, storage, or re-delivery fees charged by the carrier.
Warranty
