SleepSafe® Low Bed (Twin, Full, Queen) – Spacious Safety Bed with Gap-Free Protection

When safety during sleep becomes a concern, whether it’s rolling, climbing out of bed, or nighttime wandering, a standard bed often isn’t enough. The SleepSafe® Low Bed is designed as a special needs bed for home use, providing a more secure, enclosed sleep space to help reduce the risks that can come with unprotected setups.

As a special needs bed for home use, it provides high surrounding rails and a gap-free sleeping area that helps reduce the risk of the user slipping into openings or leaving the bed unintentionally. This allows for a more stable, contained sleeping position, while still maintaining a familiar, home-style look.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does articulation and Hi-Lo mean?
Articulation means the head and knee sections of the mattress can be raised. The head section can raise up to approximately 70°, and the knee section can raise up to approximately 40°. Hi-Lo means the entire mattress platform can move up and down for transfers and caregiver access.

What is the difference between a box spring and a bunkie board?
A bunkie board is thinner and positions the mattress lower in the bed, giving more rail height above the mattress. A box spring is thicker and raises the mattress higher, which may support easier transfers. There is no price or comfort difference — only a height difference.

Is the SleepSafe® mattress waterproof?
No. The mattress is water-resistant, not waterproof. If frequent moisture is expected, use an additional waterproof or water-resistant mattress protector.

How do I clean the SleepSafe® bed and mattress?
Clean surfaces with warm water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and solvents.

What is the difference between the SleepSafe Low Bed and other SleepSafe models?
The main differences are safety rail protection height and transfer height. The SleepSafe Low Bed has a transfer height of 22¼” with the rail attached and 20¾” with the rail removed.

How long does delivery take?
The SleepSafe Low Bed is made to order. Typical lead time is 4–6 weeks, depending on configuration and scheduling.

What is White Glove delivery?
White Glove delivery means the bed is delivered into the home and assembled for you.
