Vipamat, as a manufacturer, declares that the Hippocampe Pool Wheelchair — classified as a Class 1 device in Europe and a Class 2 device in the USA — along with its medical device accessories, complies with:

Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council
All applicable provisions of European Directive 93/42/EEC
Book II of the French Public Health Code

Warranty Coverage

The product is guaranteed for 2 years, including parts and labor, from the date of purchase (as shown on the invoice).
The warranty covers the replacement of faulty parts.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not apply in cases of:
Improper or incorrect use
Normal wear and tear of wheelchair components

Product Lifespan

Under standard use conditions, the Hippocampe wheelchair has an expected lifespan of 4 years from the date of purchase.

Serial Numbers

The wheelchair’s serial number is engraved on the back axle of the frame.
Each optional add-on has its own engraved serial number.
This number may also appear on the packaging label or on the add-on itself.

Disposal Information

To dispose of the Hippocampe wheelchair responsibly, take it to a recycling center and place it in the appropriate recycling category.

  • After 24 hours: A 25% restocking fee will apply, certain brands cannot be cancelled,

  • Custom orders: Cannot be canceled once processing has begun.

  • Refunds are only issued within 7 days of purchase.

  • Returns requested after 7 days, up to 14 days, are only eligible for an exchange and may be subject to a restocking fee.

Pre-Orders
Please note that pre-orders are paid upfront to secure your item. While we always strive to meet the estimated shipping timelines, delays may occasionally occur due to factors outside of our control (such as manufacturing or supplier issues). Because pre-orders are reserved and allocated in advance, they are non-refundable. If a refund is requested, a restocking fee will apply.

💵 Refunds

Returns that require a refund are only accepted within 7 days of receiving your item. To qualify, the product must be unused, in its original packaging, and include all parts, accessories, and paperwork. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, minus shipping, handling, and restocking fees.

🔁 Returns (Exchanges)

Returns for exchange are accepted within 14 days of receiving your item, subject to the following conditions:

  • Item must be unused, in original packaging, with all accessories and documents

  • A 25% restocking fee applies

  • Shipping costs (both ways) are non-refundable and the customer’s responsibility

🚫 Non-Returnable Items

Some products cannot be returned or refunded due to hygiene, customization, or manufacturer policies. These include (but are not limited to):

⚠️ Defective or Damaged Items

If a product arrives defective or damaged, the manufacturer will offer a replacement at no cost to you. You must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery and return the defective item before a replacement can be shipped. A prepaid return label will be provided.

If you choose not to accept a replacement and instead request a return, the order will be treated as a standard return. In this case, the following applies:

  • A 25% restocking fee will be deducted

  • Shipping costs (both ways) are non-refundable and the customer’s responsibility

Damage not reported within 24 hours may not be eligible for a claim.

📭 Missed Deliveries

Large Freight Deliveries (Including the PLIFT by Discover Your Mobility)

  • Large freight deliveries are not usually returned to sender. They will be dropped off at the delivery address you provide.

  • You will be given tracking details to monitor your shipment.

  • We are not responsible for missed deliveries, as the freight carrier will leave the item at your address.

Returns to Sender

  • If an order is refused at delivery or otherwise returned to sender, a 25% restocking fee will apply.

  • You are also responsible for both outbound and return shipping costs in such cases.

🔧 Warranty

All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Terms vary by brand. We can provide:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Warranty documentation

After the return period, warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer. Where items cannot be repaired, the manufacturer will require the defective item to be returned before a replacement can be shipped.
