MOXI Mattress Systems — FAQs

What’s the difference between Low Air Loss and Alternating Pressure?

Low Air Loss moves air through the top sheet to help manage heat and surface moisture. Alternating Pressure cycles support between air cells so one area isn’t bearing load the entire time.

Replacement vs. overlay — which do I pick?

Choose a mattress replacement when you want the powered surface to replace your foam mattress. Choose an overlay if you plan to keep your current mattress and add therapy on top.

Which control unit works with these mattresses?

Match the control unit listed on each product page. SelectAir control units pair with SelectAir replacements and compatible overlays; Hybrid Select requires the compatible pump listed on its page.

Can I sit up with the head of the bed raised?

Look for the Upright feature. It increases pressure to maintain support when the head of the bed is elevated.

Is there a firm surface for turning or transfers?

Yes. Many powered models include a Firm or Max Inflate mode to create a stable surface for care tasks.

How loud are the pumps and how do I maintain them?

They’re designed for low noise in home settings. Place the unit on a flat surface, keep air filters clear, wipe covers as directed, and inspect hoses and connectors regularly.
